Audiobooks

Classic Books. Fresh Perspectives.

Welcome to our new audiobook home.

We’re launching a new series of Thinking Aloud audiobooks, carefully selected and produced classics, each supplemented with original commentary about its historical context and thoughts on its relevance today.

Some of these books you may recognize by name, but likely have never actually read. Others you’ve probably never heard of, but all are worth listening to.

We begin with The Machine Stops by E.M. Forster, a startlingly prescient story from 1909 that predicted everything from Zoom calls and personal broadcasting to climate collapse and algorithmic dependency. It’s not just an eerie work of early science fiction; it’s a quiet warning about where we might be headed in the Age of AI.

More titles are coming soon. More stories, more commentary, more chances to think aloud.

Stay tuned and listen closely.
